Presidents Letter

Dear Friends in the Community:

We are preparing for our Annual Excellence Awards Dinner to recognize healthcare professionals who have demonstrated excellence in the delivery of palliative care in hospice, long-term care, acute care, and community settings. On behalf of the Delaware End-of-Life Coalition (DEOLC), I would like you to consider sponsoring our organization for this event. The spring dinner will be held at Wild Quail Country Club in Dover, Delaware on the evening of April 16, 2015. Information regarding the sponsorship is included on the attached form.

Sponsorship funds defray costs for the dinner and other educational events offered throughout the year. Each year, we provide quality education to clinicians and community members on choices and responsibilities of those experiencing, and those caring for, patients dealing with life limiting illnesses. Two of such programs that we will be hosting in 2015 are:

• Facts and Myths about DMOST (DMOST101)
• Advanced Care Planning (focusing on equipping Social Workers)

The primary goal of all programs was to raise the awareness of issues and choices related to palliative care throughout the First State.

Your generous donation will allow us to continue in our pursuit to improve education and public policy related to end-of-life care. Since we have a 501(C)(3) designation, your contribution is tax-deductible as allowable by law. We encourage you to send your contribution to DEOLC, P.O. Box 681, Selbyville, DE 19975, Attn: Treasurer. Thank you for taking the time to understand the important role that DEOLC plays in the Delaware community. We look forward to seeing you at the April 16th dinner event.

Warmest Regards,
M. Keagen Brown, MBA, CPHIMS
President, DEOLC
